Who reviews our health content
Every injury, condition, and treatment page on this site is reviewed by SWITCH physiotherapists who are registered with AHPRA (the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. You’ll find their names, qualifications, and the date they last reviewed the content within each health page — typically in the “Why patients choose SWITCH” section.
You can verify any practitioner’s AHPRA registration at ahpra.gov.au.
How we draft
We use AI tools to draft the first version of these pages — similar to how a clinician might dictate notes to a stenographer. Drafting with AI lets us cover more ground (more conditions, more depth) than if every page started from a blank document.
After the AI drafts, our clinicians edit. They check facts against current clinical guidelines, remove anything they wouldn’t say in a session, and rewrite anything that doesn’t match how SWITCH actually treats patients. Nothing reaches the public site without a SWITCH physiotherapist signing off on it.
What we won’t do
We won’t publish content the AI generated without clinician review. We won’t make up patient outcomes or statistics. We won’t promise specific session counts (like “3 to 6 sessions”) because every injury is different and every patient responds differently. We won’t recommend treatments we don’t actually provide.
How often we review
Every health page on this site shows a “Last reviewed” date alongside the reviewer names. Our team aims to review each page at least every 90 days, or sooner if clinical evidence changes or we update our approach. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, email us at [email protected] — we read every message and update pages when warranted.
