Five-star reviews on Google across all 8 SWITCH clinics
SWITCH Physiotherapy treats shoulder pain across 8 Sydney clinics including Penshurst, Maroubra, Concord, Lane Cove, Rouse Hill, Menai, Gladesville and Strathfield. Whether your shoulder pain is from a sports injury, repetitive overhead work, an old fall, ageing tendons or post-surgical recovery, our physiotherapists assess what is actually driving the pain (rotator cuff, impingement, frozen shoulder, AC joint, instability or bursitis) and build a treatment plan around it. No referral needed, direct booking online or by phone, with same-week appointments at every clinic.
It’s one of many conditions we treat as part of our wider pain treatment approach across Sydney.
Every SWITCH session combines hands-on manual therapy with a personalised exercise program. We treat what is actually causing the pain, not just where you feel it. The assessment is the foundation of everything that follows, so you know exactly what is being treated and why.
SWITCH has been treating Sydney patients for over 10 years. We are a locally-owned, locally-run physiotherapy group with deep roots in the communities each of our 8 clinics serves. Thousands of patients trust SWITCH every year for the kind of care that actually fixes the problem.
No GP referral needed. You can book an initial assessment directly with SWITCH and start treatment the same week. Every injury and recovery timeline is different, but our goal is to help you get back to running, lifting, working or playing sooner.
After your first appointment you will know exactly what your physio thinks is going on, what the treatment journey looks like, and how many sessions to expect. No vague answers, no open-ended commitments. A clear plan from session one.
Early-morning, all-day and late-evening appointments at every SWITCH clinic. Same-week and often same-day availability across the network. Online booking 24/7 at weareswitch.com.au, so you can lock in a time when it suits you.
Penshurst, Maroubra, Concord, Lane Cove, Rouse Hill, Menai, Gladesville and Strathfield. The same standard of care across every location, so you can book wherever fits your day. Treatment notes follow you between clinics if you ever need to switch.

Every SWITCH practitioner is registered with Ahpra and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Verify any registration at ahpra.gov.au.
Yes. SWITCH physiotherapists assess and treat the underlying cause of shoulder pain, including rotator cuff injuries, impingement, frozen shoulder, AC joint problems, bursitis and instability. Treatment combines hands-on manual therapy with a personalised strength program. Club Switch members receive ongoing care to prevent recurrence.
Every injury and recovery timeline is different, but our goal is to help you get back to lifting, throwing and reaching freely sooner. Your physiotherapist will give you a clear plan after the initial assessment, and ongoing maintenance is available through Club Switch.
No. You can book directly with SWITCH Physiotherapy without a GP referral. Private health insurance rebates apply on the spot via HICAPS. If you have a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan or a WorkCover claim, your GP referral covers those subsidies.
Often yes. Many rotator cuff tears (especially partial-thickness and degenerative tears) respond well to physiotherapy without needing surgery. SWITCH physiotherapists will assess the severity, build a tailored loading program, and refer for imaging or specialist review if surgery is appropriate.
Wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing that lets us see the shoulder (a singlet or loose t-shirt is ideal). If you have any recent scans, X-rays or specialist letters relating to your shoulder, bring those along. If you are claiming on private health insurance, bring your physical card so we can swipe HICAPS at the clinic.
Book your initial assessment at any of our 8 Sydney clinics: Penshurst, Maroubra, Concord, Lane Cove, Rouse Hill, Menai, Gladesville, or Strathfield. No referral needed.
Rotator cuff, bursitis or inflammation are the usual culprits, and side-sleeping compresses the joint.
